Table of Contents is given below

The countries defined as being part of Developing Asia are Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.

This report examines the projected changes through to 2031 in the demographic and socio-economic profile of the Developing countries of Asia. These countries account for 10% of the Asia’s total GDP but 24% of its population.  However, they are important in that they represent significant growth engines for the Asia region.

Having established the new age-education matrix the report then looks at expected changes in urbanization, the household, lifecycle segments and the labor force in terms of size, occupation profile and productivity. Finally it examines the expected distribution of households by income and expenditure patterns given the expected increases in productivity per worker as a result of education forecasts.

By reading this report a person will gain an understanding of which countries in Asia offer the greatest potential for their product or service and the relative size of these markets. While many of the major demographic and socio-economic trends are easily recognized and understood, this report quantifies the nature of those trends and shows the differences between countries and regions. In short, it is intended to assist management to assess where and when they should allocate resources in Asia.
