What will be the demographic and socio-economic landscape of Central and South America in 2031?

The countries defined as being part of Central and South America are Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Peru, South Colombia and Venezuela.

These countries account for 7% of the world’s total GDP and 8% of the world’s population.  The total population of Central and South Asia is currently estimated at 473 million persons. However, 65% of this is accounted for by two countries (Brazil and Mexico) and a further 18% by Argentina and Colombia.
